A slight remake on the classic of pasta with broccoli rabe, this version adds a whole new dimension with a delicious garlic white wine sauce and some fiber filled white beans. Best of all, it’s done and ready to serve in 25 minutes!

Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil.  Cook the rotini according to package directions.  When there is 4 minutes of cooking time left, add the broccoli rabe to the pot. Drain and reserve.

Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat.  Add the olive oil and garlic and cook until aromatic and starting to brown, about 30 seconds.  Add the chicken sausage, butter beans, and reserved pasta and broccoli rabe.  Toss to heat through.  Deglaze with the white wine and simmer to cook out the alcohol, about 2 minutes.  Sprinkle in the pepper flakes, if using. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide between 6 bowls.
